En Maillot de bain
A.I. is shy and chaste.
In the “En maillot de bain” series, the prompt used is always the same, where two people are “... in bathing suits”. The image-generation algorithm is Stable DIffusion V2.1 and, like many consumer tools, forbids words related to things of the body.
So when the expression “in bathing suit” is used, the image is not generated, because “bathing suit” implies “the body” and therefore nudity. However, the generation tools forbid the production of nudity-related images.
Surprisingly, the algorithm accepts the same expression in French: “en maillot de bain”.
However, a blur is automatically applied by the algorithm to hide body details... and this is because the prompt is in French, perhaps the censorship is “lighter”.
This blurring appears as a bug and as a wink to photography: a blurred, but successful image, produced by the algorithm as an echo to a photograph itself that would be a failure.
